Baby Items

I broke down last night and bought a baby sling and an electric breastfeeding pump. I couldn’t be more excited! These are two items that I will desperately need once Parker arrives.

The lady who teaches our Bradley class is also a sales consultant for Over the Shoulder Baby Holder. I’ve wanted one her slings since our first day of class. Not only are they cute they are also a secure way to carry Parker outside of the womb.

As for the breastfeeding pump...it was definitely a must have item. I plan on breastfeeding Parker after I return to work so I needed to find a pump that is perfect for mommy’s on the go.
I also wanted to find a pump that would keep my milk supply consistent.
After asking other mommy friends, my yoga instructor, and a client of mine’s mom who works with babies in the hospital, I was told to buy either a Medela or an Ameda pump. This past weekend I looked for these two brands at Babies R Us and I was very discouraged. They were kind of expensive! With a baby boy on the way I just hate to spend hundreds of dollars. I was starting to think I might as well take my chances with the Playtex pump which had several bad reviews, or look into renting.
Luckily, last night my Bradley instructor got me in touch with a hospital distributor who sold me a $300 Ameda Truly Yours pump with carrying case for half of its retail price. My breastfeeding pump...another item we can now mark off of our list.
