eight months=mommy's favorite!
Our little baby is quickly becoming a his own little person. It feels like new milestones happen all the time.
Parker now crawls, speed crawls, pulls himself into a standing position, laughs a lot, and finds new ways to show us just how precious he is every second.
New things happening this month:
1. Parker is eating *real* veggies, potatoes, and he even tried frozen yogurt.
2. Parker picked out his first tooth brush! I gave him the choice of Elmo or Blue Ducks. He chose the ducks.
(He has 3 teeth. One on the bottom and two vampire fangs on the top.)
3. Parker loves Clifford the Big Red Dog!
4. If you turn around even for a second... Parker is on the run! His favorite hiding places are the kitchen and bathroom.
5. Parker is working on walking. Thanks to the entertainment chest and the couch he can successfully get into a standing position on his own.
6. And finally...Parker has his last doctor's appointment in Fort Worth this month! No more traveling or helmet very soon!

Mr. Personality
We've enjoyed watching Parker grow every month, but I must say this 6-7 month mark has been a lot of fun!
He has quite the little personality and keeps us laughing. He is a very adventurous boy who loves to laugh and talk.
Here are some pictures that we MUST share:
Parker also has a new talent...trying to escape. Don't let his super cute face fool you. We always have to keep an eye out, and when it's silent he is either sleeping or up to no good. Crazy peanut!

Sleepy Time Moment
It's nap time at our house, so I wanted to take a second and post a new blog.
It has been a week full of adventure and cute pictures!
On Wednesday night Chris had to work late. I wanted to get dinner started so I put Parker in his jumperoo. He was laughing and babbling so I made my way into the kitchen.
As I was putting the enchiladas in the oven I thought, "man it's quite."
So I peeked back in the living room and found...
At first I wanted to grab him and put him in his crib. Instead I snapped these pictures and enjoyed this moment
Parker had his 6 month well visit with Dr. Medford this morning. He is definitely his father's child. He was tested for allergies... he's got them. He tested positive for grass, cats, and possibly carrots. She gave us this spray to put in his nose daily until he is 9 months. Dr. Medford says Parker is in the 75 percentile for length. He is 27-28 inches! As for weight he is in the 50 percentile. Our little baby is growing.

March Madness
It's only Tuesday but this week has been rough on me. I've had an extremely difficult time taking Parker to daycare in the mornings. And once I drop him off I am bored and lonely. Up until this week I've put so much time and energy into finding a job that I didn't think too much about being away from my boy. I know this transition will become easier again next week when I start work. I think I'll splurge and keep him at home with me later this week.
I have a feeling Parker is going to take after his daddy and *love* college basketball. Every year about this time it's bracketology 101 around the Sturgy house. Last night Parker didn't have a lot of interest in anything except playing basketball.
I remember when he got this toy at Christmas we thought, "he'll have so much fun with this when he can sit up." Now look at him go! Watch out world, he might just be a future Blue Devil or Lobo.

Spring Cleaning
Spring is definitely in the air! This morning after I took Parker to daycare I decided to not only clean up around our house, but also our blog. I hope you like the new look. I am *so* very ready to start my job next Monday! But in the meantime our house is dust free:)
It was such a nice and sunny weekend. I think old man winter has finally left us alone. Chris, Parker, and I decided to have a date at the park on Saturday afternoon. Chris and I enjoyed lunch while Parker slept on the blanket. Then it was time for some football!
Our little man has also started to eat baby food this month. I remember during one of our trips to DFW asking Chris "what are we going to do when he's eating baby food on this trip?" Looks like we'll find out next week.
We have a busy/exciting month planned. Mommy starts work. Parker's grandparents and Aunt Caty are coming to visit. St. Patty's Day party at daycare. Parker gets his new & final helmet.
I am sure there will be lots of stories and pictures to share:)
