He generally hangs out in our entry way, and almost-always makes his grand appearance before our bedtime. This past week we told him nite, nite and wave as we head into our room. Last night we even blew him a big kiss-a-roo. We talk about him at breakfast time, and tell him bye-bye as we rush off to daycare.

It may sound like we have a new pet, but we don't. I'm talking about Bobby. Parker's imaginary friend. Or so we think.
He may still be too young for us to know for sure who Bobby is, or how long he'll hang around.
I have a vision of the day when we're making a place at the table for Bobby. Or buckling him in the back seat. Fun! Fun! That's what I'm told I had my parents do for my buddy Boggie.

Be Mine!
Valentine's was the first holiday Parker spent at daycare last year. It's hard to believe that it has already been a year!
Parker's daycare party last Friday seemed fun. He came home lots of love notes and candy. We signed up to bring juice boxes and super cute heart plates to the party. I feel that I may be turning in to my mother. Not that it's a bad thing.
I first went to Walmart to search for these Valentine's plates. All they had were red and pink. Not good enough. So I left (probably the only time I've been there without leaving with a basket full of stuff!) And I headed to Target. I was on a mission. Success! I found cute little purple plates with green turtles and heart. Lovely!
Here he is eating a sucker he got from a daycare buddy. And below our handsome boy in his V-day shirt.
This year-mommy had to work on actual Valentine's night-lame I know! So we decided to celebrate by having a love-ees dinner on Saturday evening. We were planning on Outback, but it was packed, and Parker hadn't been feeling too well. So we took him to one of our favorite places in Amarillo to get burgers and pizza...Texas Firehouse.

Dear Aunt Caty,
You'll be glad to know this afternoon Parker and I made our Superbowl shirts. We really just wanted to see a good game, but since my dad (Parker's PW) works with Ziggy Hood's dad we thought we should show some Ziggy pride. We offered to make your brother one too, but he only wears Bronco shirts, and he wanted those Packers to win.
Parker had a busy game night! We spent a majority of the evening out at The Welling Ranch with family. Parker plans on wearing his shirt again when you come to visit us. Goodnight & have a nice week-we love you.

Getting JUnKy!
This afternoon I drove to Hereford and I found out that my afternoon meeting with the school board had been cancelled. I was frustrated, no one called me! So I decided to get Parker instead of heading back to the office and working the last hour of my day.
Parker of course was covered head to toe in cheese crackers which made my afternoon all the more fabulous! Snack time = party time in that boy's world! When we got home I decided to strip him down, clean up, and start the deviled eggs I'm bringing for my work pot luck tomorrow.
I got busy boiling the eggs when all the sudden a little mousy noise caught my attention. I quickly turned around and.... MY BABY FOUND THE SODA! Actually, I can tell you most of the last sip that was left in the bottle ended up on his shirt and not in his mouth.

Of course now he feels the Pepsi bottle is a new toy-and will not let mom trash it. Oh brother!

LOVE
I am partly at fault since I bought Valentine's cards for Parker's daycare friends & teachers in January... but he has been anxious to get them ready.
So yesterday we decided to bust them out and decorate. I signed Parker's name & he colored on them, then together we threw on the stickers.
My sweet loving baby! He had so much fun. I am not sure if it was the coloring or the Valentine's frog stickers, but he just had a blast. After an hour we were both covered in marker, glitter, and huge smiles.
***If you look very closely in the picture below-you'll see that Parker put a glitter heart sticker on his cheek. Little nut! This mommy loves him so.

SnOW=CoLD
There is nothing quite like a snow storm in February! I love it! After finding out that I had been excused from jury duty today I decided to worked from home so that Parker and I wouldn't have to get out in the mess. I love my job and that it allows such a flexible schedule on days like today. I'm very blessed.
After lunch the dogs were begging to go outside and Parker seemed very curious about all the bright white snow, so we all bundled up and went outside to play. Of course it was freezing so we only stayed outside for a minute or two. My poor little man...he looked like the little boy in A Christmas Story, he could barely put his arms down in his snowsuit. Good thing P-man got snow boots this weekend.
